Arthur Frommer - Travel Writer, Visits Jefferson City  

Arthur Frommer, the well known travel writer recently visited Jefferson City, his boyhood home.  Mr. Frommer enjoyed a tour of Temple Beth El, where he and his family worshiped years ago.

125th Anniversary Open House  
Service Dog Blessing  


Clyde the Service DogRabbi Benson said a special blessing for Clyde, the Service Dog puppy, and gave him the Hebrew name "Chaim" meaning "Life".  Clyde is part of the CHAMP Assistance Dog Organization in St. Louis and is being socialized by Ellie as a Mitzvah project for her Bat Mitzvah.   Clyde will assist a disabled person when he gets older.

Our Torah Celebrates 200 Years!


Torah

The oldest Torah at Temple Beth El was written in 1811 and placed in the Temple by the original founders in 1883.  This photo was taken while it was undergoing a recent restoration.
